STC have planted thousands of trees, ranging from standard stock to semimature and have managed to achieve an impressive survival rate.We plant trees on a siteby-site basis and our policy is, ‘fit the hole to the tree’, not ‘the tree to the hole’, a problem that is often associated with replacement plantings where stumps have been inadequately removed, or pits poorly constructed.

Sometimes tree planting projects fail due to lack of adequate maintenance and aftercare programmes. STC feel strongly that once a tree has been planted it is essential to provide a minimum of one years summer irrigation.
